Borneo, the third biggest island in the world, is a truly remarkable country that stole my heart and even feels like a second home.
Divided between Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, it has an incredible variety of national parks, lush jungles, wildlife, flora and a rich tribal culture that still lives today. I was lucky enough to visit the Malaysian part two times, first in 2019 and then again in 2021. I mostly focused on the Malaysian part, which is divided between two main states: Sarawak and Sabah.
