INDONESIA
Indonesia is a gigantic country in Southeast Asia that counts more than 17.000 islands. A lifetime wouldn't be enough to explore it all.
Some of these islands are more famous than others and offer an incredible variety of culture, nature and some of the most impressive animals in the world.
My first experience in Indonesia started with the popular island of Bali, well known for its unique architecture, many temples and colourful traditions. This island has also an incredible food culture, which will make you want to come back for more.
Java gifted me with exciting experiences connected with one of Earth most powerful phenomenon: Volcanoes. Here I had the pleasure of visiting both the active Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. Many more are the active volcanoes present on the island, but they are still waiting for me for a future visit.
The island of Flores and the nearby Komodo National Park were a childhood dream that I had to make come true. This is the place to go if you want to see some real life dinosaurs: the mighty Komodo dragons.
The gigantic island of Sumatra was too big to be explored in one single trip, so I decided to focus on the Northern part, where I had the chance to visit Bukit Lawang for a multiple day jungle trek and meet the elegant Sumatran Orangutans.
